This New Oriental Express route is divided into a summer northern Xinjiang route and an October southern Xinjiang route, tailored to the scenic features of different seasons. The summer northern Xinjiang route focuses on mountain grasslands, lakes, and canyon landscapes, with rich and layered scenery from May to September. The first stop, Keketuohai, allows you to explore the Ertix Grand Canyon, admire various granite landforms, and visit the No. 3 Geological Mine and the Keketuohai Geological Exhibition Hall to learn about the local geological development. Visiting in May-June also lets you witness the local people’s seasonal migration and taste local specialties.
